Every so often the art world sneaks out advance warning of an exciting new exhibition on its way to us.  Today was one of those days, with London’s National Gallery releasing details of its fantastic-sounding Renaissance Faces: Van Eyck to Titian.

Although we sadly have to wait until October for it to hit London, today’s Guardian carries a tempting preview of what will be on offer – see here.  Sadly you will have to actually buy the paper to look at the numerous pictures accompanying the text as they haven’t made it online.

 

However, CEBK can proudly reveal something that the Guardian neglected to mention: the exhibition is actually already on show at the Prado in Madrid and (with no doubt a few minor differences due to works unfit for travel) you can get the best possible preview of the exhibition here:
